Impact Up Services
An organisation exists for a goal — and where that goal is a societal impact, our consulting begins exactly there. Developing, unfolding and connecting impact: these are the three movements of impact consulting.
Three movements
Developing, unfolding, connecting impact.
Developing means making the impact consciously present, together. We look at it from the four perspectives — resonance, structure, coherence, cooperation — and work on it until it is coherent inwardly: until people find their own sense in it and the organisation recognises itself in it.
Unfolding means letting the impact become effective through the organisation — aligning teams, roles and structures so that many parts become one whole. And connecting means docking the impact outwards, to the field and the society in which it is meant to change something. Both movements belong together, and often the work begins right in the middle.
In substance this is organisational consulting — with a direction of its own that we call systemic impact orientation: sometimes a system is not yet oriented towards its impact, and sometimes the impact is not yet formulated the way the system actually wants to work. We work on both. For that we bring the craft of impact orientation — Theory of Change, Outcome Mapping, impact logics with indicators — and systemic consulting with hypotheses instead of diagnoses, deepened by the ongoing training in systemic organisational development. Co-creative strategy development with many participants is part of it too — through to processes in which around twenty organisations take part.
Behind this service stand Stefan's experiences from many years of organisational and impact consulting. For larger processes the institute brings in further people from the network, in agreement with you — we see ourselves as an organising actor. If you have something in mind, write to us.
