Impact Consulting
Impact Up impact consulting looks at your impact as a whole. On our home page we have already shown four central impact perspectives at Impact Up, depending on what is at stake at the moment. As always, we take a systemic approach to consulting, so we start with your topics. Still, for us it is about developing impact, aligning and clarifying; then unfolding impact, actually bringing it into the world; and finally connecting, entering the exchange with others that matters for creating coherence and cooperation. This is where we offer impact consulting as a core element of Impact Up. We make room for your impact.
Developing, unfolding, connecting impact.
We developed this offer at Impact Up from the founding idea of the institute. We are an institute for systemic impact orientation, and accordingly we want to do impact consulting the way we see impact. We begin with reflection, with becoming aware of your impact, before we look at the relevant perspectives: its resonance with people, its interplay with the structure of the organisation, its coherence within the impact field and, where relevant, the cooperation of society. In developing impact, we adjust it together with those who work towards it until it is coherent inwardly: until people find their own sense in it and the organisation recognises itself in it.
In unfolding the impact, we look at how it becomes effective through the organisation: aligning teams, roles and structures so that many parts become one whole. And connecting then means: docking the impact outwards, to the impact field and the society in which it is meant to change something. The practical work usually begins where you currently stand, and not according to a fixed scheme.
Most of the time it is an organisation that wants to achieve an impact, but not always: we also want to shape impact with small initiatives and let it emerge with large networks. We want systemic impact orientation wherever there is a possibility of achieving something good. Sometimes a system is not yet oriented towards its impact, and sometimes the impact is not yet formulated the way the system actually wants to work. We start where it makes sense, and we bring along numerous methods of impact orientation: Theory of Change, Outcome Mapping, impact logics with indicators. And since we consult systemically, it is always about you developing your own impact, unfolding it and connecting it with others; we support you in that.
Through an ongoing training in systemic organisational development and our network, we can also organise larger consulting processes. Stefan brings the experience of numerous impact planning processes, and has taken part in two larger co-creative strategy developments with many participants.
