Impact Up Services

Coaching at Impact Up has a particular focus: planning and reflection on impact in small projects and teams. With individuals and teams we clarify what is to be achieved and who takes on which role for it — clarity of goals and clarity of roles as the common thread.

Competencies

What we bring to the coaching.

We bring the craft of participatory workshops: designing multi-day planning and reflection formats, developing outcomes and indicators together and planning activities from them — starting from what the organisation wants and needs. Added to that are coaching and individual support over longer periods, also through transitions and changes of staff, and the agreement with the leadership level, so that the work in the team stays connected to the goals of the organisation.

This competence grew in very different sectors: six years of Civil Peace Service in Cambodia with annual planning workshops at nearly ten partner organisations — museum and memorial work (Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum), psychosocial services (TPO Cambodia), university (Royal University of Phnom Penh), youth and empowerment work (YRDP, Women Peace Makers), through to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal (ECCC). Every context had its own culture — and exactly from that comes the confidence to support teams of very different character in finding their direction.

And we work systemically: with hypotheses instead of diagnoses, with impulses towards self-organisation and the trust that the solutions are already present in the system — deepened by the ongoing training in systemic organisational development.

The experience behind this service belongs to Stefan: more than 15 years of peace work and civil-society project development and implementation. For larger processes the institute brings in further people from the network, in agreement with you — we see ourselves as an organising actor. If you have something in mind, write to us.
